The Hydrogeology Group (HG) was created in order to promote the scientific and technological research in Hydrogeology, encompassing field monitoring, laboratory analyses, and modeling. The research interests span a range of topics including the scientific basis for water resources management with special interest on: effects of the climate changes on groundwater resources, groundwater pollution, influence of the groundwater on natural hazard processes, (e.g. slope instabilities and flood), surface-groundwater interactions , groundwater systems and engineering works, including also landfill and garbage dumps .
